Edoardo Talenti was born and raised in the town of Minerbio, just outside of Bologna, Italy. He was always surrounded by music, wether it was his father Marco listening to old progressive rock records or instruments of all nature laying around his parentís house. Although exposed to the language of music since a very early age, Edoardo didnít really pick up an instrument since the age of 10. After receiving his first drum-set from his family, he fell in love with drums and started studying under some of the best local teachers such as Mauro Gherardi and Michele Panepinto. Edoardoís early influences are very much rooted in classic rock bands such as Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin, and progressive rock bands such as PFM, Genesis and Pink Floyd.
After finishing high school, at age 19, Edoardo decided to move to Los Angeles to attend Musicians Institute, from which he graduated in 2013. During his time in school, Edoardo expanded not only his knowledge of drums and rhythm, but also his musical influences, his musical language and his overall understanding of music. Some of his biggest and most current musical influences include Frank Zappa, Avishai Cohen, Tigran Hamasyan, Igor Stravinsky and Meshuggah. Since graduating from MI, Edoardo has been working as a session drummer, a multi-instrumentalist youtuber and a composer for film, TV and video games.
